ABOUT US

Project Jumpstart Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) certified Non-Profit organization and our mission  is to empower and encourage Youth Parents and Young Adults between the ages of 14-20 years of age by  promoting healthy living, academic achievements, career development and financial literacy.

Our program also strives to Increase Self Esteem and Confidence by hosting interactive community events that provide the necessary tools needed to complete their high school diploma/GED, secondary education such as Certificate of completion at a local trade school and obtaining an Associate or Bachelor’s degree.  
These necessary tools promote a level of self-sufficiency.

We understand that barriers such as Youth Homelessness, which is described as someone who is under the age of 21 and is unable to safely live at home or with a relative and has no other safe alternative living arrangement can make achievements feel unobtainable. In the city of Los Angeles 5,983 youth are displaced nightly which can also lead to a student dropping out of school for practical reasons, necessities, or disillusionment.

Our way of minimizing and reducing this increasing trend will happen by continuing to connect Youth to organizations similar to those listed on our resource page that can help 

"Turn your low into a High".
