[Press Release] FireAlert Limited Launches New Generation Smart Fire Alarm Monitoring System, Reinventing Urban Safety with Wireless Technology

Hong Kong, December 08, 2025 – FireAlert Limited today announced that its innovative smart fire alarm monitoring system is setting a new benchmark for enhancing life and property safety and advancing smart city applications through cloud, mobile and wireless Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The system is designed to address the numerous pain points of traditional fire alarm systems, providing an efficient, reliable and cost-effective fire safety solution for diverse built environments.

Traditional fire alarm monitoring systems often face challenges such as difficult installation requiring technical support, high deployment costs due to slow and expensive wiring, lack of visible verification and transparency, inflexible settings that are hard to adapt to different environments, and slow response times.

FireAlert’s smart fire alarm monitoring system tackles these core issues head-on. As a pioneer in new-generation smart IoT applications, we integrate cloud/mobile technology, wireless LoRaWAN communications, smart sensors (including fire/smoke detectors) and smartwatches to create a comprehensive, intelligent safety network. Our system uses wireless IoT sensors to monitor buildings for fire hazards in real time. Data is transmitted via gateways to the cloud, where artificial intelligence analyses and verifies it, ultimately triggering precise, location-based alerts sent directly to mobile phones and fire sirens.

A core advantage of the system is its use of LoRaWAN wireless technology, which offers:

  • Reliability: Features self-organising and self-healing network mechanisms to ensure stable communication.
  • Security: Supports multi-layered security mechanisms to keep data transmission safe.
  • Rapid & Easy Deployment: Requires no power or data wiring, enabling fast installation with minimal disruption.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: Simple communication protocols and hardware design reduce overall deployment and maintenance costs.

Thanks to these strengths, the FireAlert system can be flexibly deployed in a wide range of building environments, including heritage buildings (such as subdivided flats and tong laus), building renovation projects (e.g., hotels, plazas), and temporary structures (e.g., construction sites), effectively solving the wiring difficulties and high retrofit costs typical in these locations.

Our solution has already been successfully implemented in several key projects, gaining significant practical validation, including at the Tuen Mun–Chek Lap Kok Tunnel and construction sites at Hong Kong International Airport. These successful cases demonstrate the system’s excellent performance and reliability in complex and temporary environments.

FireAlert’s innovation has also received high recognition from the industry, with accolades including:

  • Shortlisted for the 2022 World Summit Award (WSA) in the ‘Government & Citizen Engagement’ category for China.
  • Winner of the Bronze Award in the ‘Business and Commercial’ category at the Asia Smart App Awards 2021.

Furthermore, the project is supported by the City University of Hong Kong’s HK Tech 300 seed fund and Cyberport, and has been included in the Construction Innovation and Technology Fund (CITF) Pre-approved List (Technologies), underscoring its technological advancement and social value.

FireAlert Limited is committed to making safety assurance simple, intelligent and ubiquitous. We deliver not just technology, but quantifiable return on investment and peace of mind from day one.
