This summer, LVMH will spotlight its major brands through artistic exhibitions that celebrate both sports and cultural heritage.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a premium partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, LVMH is organizing a series of artistic events to enhance the games’ cultural impact. This summer, the conglomerate will host a diverse program that connects the arts with sports, embodying Olympic values through contributions from its distinguished brands including Berluti, Dior, Guerlain, Louis Vuitton, La Samaritaine and the Fondation Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art and exhibition highlights across LVMH brands<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LVMH\u2019s luxury houses are utilizing their iconic Paris venues to showcase exhibitions that blend art with the athletic spirit. Berluti will collaborate with artist Mathieu Forget, who is known for his dynamic art depicting movement and levitation, to present \u201cL\u2019\u00c9l\u00e9gance fran\u00e7aise en mouvement.\u201d This exhibition, showcasing photographs that capture Olympic sports in motion, will be held at 9 Rue du Faubourg Saint Honor\u00e9 from June 1 to September 9, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, Dior will present a photography exhibition at their Avenue Montaigne store, starting June 19, 2024. The exhibition will feature the Maison\u2019s sports ambassadors and explore themes of audacity and excellence through the intersection of high fashion and peak athletic performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guerlain at 68 Avenue des Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es will honor the symbolic and historic significance of gold in Olympic achievements through the \u201cOR NORME\u201d (\u201cExtraordinary Gold\u201d) exhibition, featuring works from 16 artists, from June 6 to September 12, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Louis Vuitton’s dual exhibitions celebrating sports<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Louis Vuitton is preparing two separate exhibitions. The first, \u201cLV DREAM\u201d, opens on June 18 at 26 Quai de la M\u00e9gisserie and runs until December 31, 2024. It will highlight the Maison\u2019s historic and contemporary artistic collaborations influenced by sports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second exhibition, \u201cLa Malle Courrier\u201d, will be hosted at the Vuitton Family Home in Asni\u00e8res from April 2 to December 31, 2024. It will showcase the Maison\u2019s craftsmanship through sports-inspired trunks and artifacts to highlight the legacy of sports within the brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Samaritaine’s trio of exhibitions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La Samaritaine is set to host three diverse exhibitions, each celebrating different aspects of sports culture from April 30 to September 8, 2024. The exhibition \u201cSamaritaine: Paris se prend au jeu\u201d (\u201cParis joins the game\u201d) explores the department store’s longstanding engagement with sports, dating back to its founding of the first Union Sportive sporting club in 1895. This display captures the store’s historical connection to athletic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLes L\u00e9gendes Mondiales du sport\u201d (\u201cGlobal sporting legends\u201d) offers a retrospective on major sporting events over the past century, showcasing a collection of memorable objects associated with the world’s most renowned athletes. These items, borrowed from the private collection of Terence Darrigade, trace significant moments in sports history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, \u201cDomestic Games, les femmes \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve\u201d (\u201cDomestic Games, women take the lead\u201d) features installations by Camille Menard and Agnst Design that critically examine the role of sports in everyday life and the representation of women in sports internationally. This exhibition aims to highlight and challenge traditional views on gender in the sporting world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, in collaboration with Fisheye magazine, La Samaritaine presents a photographic exhibition by Enzo Lefort, an ambassador for Louis Vuitton and LVMH. Lefort, a member of the French foil fencing team, provides a unique perspective on the intense world of competitive sports through his lens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fondation Louis Vuitton\u2019s artistic interpretation of sports<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Fondation Louis Vuitton will host the \u201cLa Collection, Rendez-vous avec le sport\u201d (\u201cThe Collection, Rendez-vous with sport\u201d) exhibition from May 7 to September 9, 2024. This exhibit coincides with the passage of the Olympic flame through Paris and features a selection of works from the Foundation’s collection.  Displayed on the second level of the building, the collection presents a diverse and poetic interpretation of sports, showcasing pieces by both French and international artists including Abraham Poincheval, Andreas Gursky, Roman Signer, Omar Victor Diop and Jean-Michel Basquiat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A highlight of the exhibition is the extended loan of \u201cOlympic Rings\u201d, a collaborative painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol. This piece, previously featured in the \u201cBasquiat x Warhol, Painting Four Hands\u201d exhibition, is showcased again to mark the Olympic and Paralympic Games, underlining the Foundation’s commitment to blending cultural heritage with contemporary sporting events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
